Congratulations Fiona ... as an old experienced grand-dad I can tell you that had I known how great grandkids were, I would have had them FIRST!!!
Oh and by the way .... at 42 you are already TOO OLD for lawn bowls. If you want to be good at that sport you have to start when you are 12 years old these days. The sport may still be played by old people but nearly all the champion bowlers today are in their 20's and 30's.
thank you. given my highly competitive nature, which sport/pastime would you recommend? and although I'm obviously excited by my new status, that excitement is tinged with sadness too, as I'm so far away, and won't actually get to meet my grandson until Jan when I'll be flying out to Australia to do so.
